I have a very similar pic in '76, with a Chessie GP9 in the lineup. You had to cross the NEC main and the B&O main to get that photo, and I was too young to appreciate the risk. When I drove up I missed a B&O freight with a WM SD40 leading! Did shoot some GG-1's passing by.

At that time the G's, E44's and E33's were still active, and nothing had been painted blue yet. When I met my Dad at L'enfant plaza, a freight went by with an EL SDP45. Ah, nostalgia!
