If you had sniffed all the chemical odors wafting around, seen all lthe propane cars, and counted the crude oil tank cars, you wouldn't call any rail yard in Richmond "a majestic jewel". There was one track (not in the refinery) where those unloading the covered hopper cars had to wear special suits pressurized by a clean air hose leading from inside the warehouse to keep the nasties from getting on you and/or inhsiling them.
