I lived in Leadville for a year about a decade ago. Even then, the DRGW no longer connected to the LC&S; the ROW in town is now, you guessed it, a trail. LC&S does go up to Climax, but I don't know that the mind produces much. Any transload would be maybe at the end of the remnant of the DRGW line from Malta or somewhere around there. Probably more likely to set up a transload in Salida from the south, and POSSIBLY Pando (doubtful) or Minturn further north. Pando might have more of a future for car storage. But we'll all believe it when we see it.
