I think a lot of the railfans who used to attend WinterRail used to make it a full railfan weekend. While most of the attendees were showered and didn't stink there were a few who may have been a couple of days into a railfan/camping trip and did. It only takes one unwashed person to gross out everyone within a 6 or 10 foot radius around them. Enough attention has been brought to this issue on railfan forums like this so that people are more conscience of their own behavior. From what I have seen or heard BO has not been an issue over the last bunch of years.
