I have a friend that went so far as to take a locomotive drivers course at the Welsh Highlands Railway so he could run the real version of his favorite locomotive "Russell". He even has a 7/8n2 version in live steam that used to run around in his front yard. Fun times.

I admire the tenacity of the Brits for pulling this off. Lord knows.... They don't build cars anymore, they had to build something. I hope LUCAS had no part in this.
