The OP is referring to Chevron's phenol plant which was located east of the refinery's cooling towers, almost directly across Castro from SP's yard office. Allied's plant was further east on Castro near the intersection with Hensley (the crossing between the hump and the scale). Ortho was on the west side of Hensley, south of the tracks.
