I've done a bit of work on SE LA County cities, and Commerce has, if I recall correctly, one of the highest parolee rates as a percentage of population in the State. Partially this is a function of it's small size, relatively to that large subset of the population. I found the list somewhat suspect, too.

Stockton, is fairly large, with much of the "danger" one might encournter being more concetrated mostly around areas where the trains happen to be....

I have also seen crime rankings that put several rural CA cities at the top, including RR towns like Calipatria on top.

Now, that this pot has been fully stirred, can we get back to that loony Councilmember from San Diego County.... What is the crime rate in Del Mar? And, does Mouse have the "proof" that it is the "evil" trains that are causing it all?
