greg, I am not sure of the time line on when the track was removed between Colusa and Hamilton City. However I think the last thru train was in 1969 and the track between Colusa and Ord Bend was pulled up around 1974. The track between Hamilton City and Ord Bend was in service until about 1975 or 76 for rice and grain shipper in Ord Bend. I may stand to be corrected on this info. The branch crossed state highway 45 at Ord Bend and stayed east of the highway all the way up to the east side of the Holly sugar plant. The track ends in a orchard about a mile south of Hamilton City today. The branch between colusa and Harrington was in service until 1984. Hope this helps.
