Governor French Lobby Lizard (aka Mr.PGE-DMV-EDD-CDE-EO) sure knows trains in California when he said:

Feb 12, 2019 · "Right now, there simply isn't a path to get from Sacramento to San Diego, let alone from San Francisco to L.A. I wish there were" - Gavin Newsom

Nevermind airports or highways.

There is indeed Amtrak between Sacramento and San Diego:

·The Amtrak Capitol Corridor provides daily service between the Sacramento region and the Bay Area

·The Coast Starlight is a passenger train operated by Amtrak on the West Coast of the United States between Seattle and Los Angeles

·The Pacific Surfliner route offers 13 daily round-trip services between San Diego and Los Angeles

Newsom is out for himself, not the people of California (unless they share a dinner table with him, of course).

It is time for him to leave office.

July 1 is going to be a rough ride on our wallet...and not just at the pump!

Now, about that FRA guy:

President Joe Biden last week nominated Amit Bose to become administrator of the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA).

Bose’s leadership in senior-level roles at the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) and the FRA under two secretaries led to the passage of the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act and Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21).

Currently, Bose serves as the FRA’s deputy administrator.

He returns to the agency where he was the deputy administrator, chief counsel and senior adviser.

During those years, he guided the agency through the implementation of positive train control, implementation and oversight of the $10 billion intercity passenger rail program and alcohol and drug testing, according to a press release.

Throughout the Obama-Biden administration, Bose also held positions in the transportation secretary’s office as associate general counsel and deputy assistant secretary for governmental affairs.

Before joining the USDOT, Bose worked for New Jersey Transit, the New Jersey Department of Transportation and Congress as a transportation staffer. He has been involved in some of the highest profile rail and transportation projects, including the Northeast Corridor Gateway Program, California High-Speed Rail, Acela 2021 trainsets and Liberty Corridor.
