The next destination for UP’s heritage garbage should be LTEX. The whole damn thing needs to go away, it’s a risk management nightmare that if something goes wrong, can really cause irreversible damage to UP. The whole damn program needs to be flushed, and if UP wants to have business cars, then they should procure new equipment.

Respect the heritage, yes. But, it’s time for this garbage to end up in a museum or as scrap. It’s time UP look to the future and innovate the way they did in the 1940s up until the MP/WP merger. Take calculated risks, move freight better and faster. The old is what it is, something to reflect on in a museum, or to be lamented over in pictures. Otherwise, scrap this crap!
