That's an interesting web page. Gritty stuff. This was the 70's before chemical drugs like meth destroyed and ravaged poor people. Many of these hobos were actually going to farms to work and earn a few bucks.

I could only ID a few places, sometimes he gave the location like this pic: Omak.
