Why no steenking report?!?!
1) the fires are still burning
2) still trying to fight fires and stabilize things
3) bridge inspections and repair work take time
4) railroads are private - unless they want to ask for government reconstruction money, the only reports they have to make are to their own Board and executives, not you and me (unless we're a Very Large Stockholder or a Very Significant Shipper)
As a Plain Old Human and Railfan, with no direct connection to the company, you will know things are fixed when you see trains running again, or heavy equipment arriving to deconstruct the line.
