One has to wonder how Richardson's troubles will affect the Santa Fe 4-8-4 project. whne it was announced that the Gov was going to let them operate it on the state-owned trackage, they admitted that up until that announcement, they would have had no place to run the thing even if they did get it fully restored. This situation could lead to yet another locomotive all dressed up with nowhere to go.

The group will proclaim they have an insider who will let them run on BNSF, but that claim has been made by many others, as well, most of whom didn't.
