Locomotive 315 Charter

The Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad and the Durango Railroad Historical Society announce what will be the only D&RGW Locomotive 315 excursion for 2009. This charter will operate over the C&TS on Sunday September 13 & Monday September 14, 2009. On Sunday September 13 the excursion will operate from Antonito to Chama with an all gondola consist and caboose. On Monday September 14 a different freight consist will depart Chama for Antonito with addition cars being added at Cumbres. A steam driven chase train for passengers will follow on both days. Included in the fare will be lunch at Osier both days, hotel in Chama on Sunday night, Sunday evening happy hour with wine, soft drinks, cheese, crackers and a 315 mug. The fare for the event is $695/person if reserved before April 30, 2009 and $795/person after that date. An extra $75/person if you desire a caboose seat. The Cumbres & Toltec will be handling ticketing for this excursion. Their reservation number is 888-CUMBRES. More details will be posted as they become available. NOTE-The Cumbres & Toltec assumes no liability besides the actual price of the excursion ticket in the event Locomotive 315 is not operable for this excursion. Seating is limited. Don't miss out as there will be no Locomotive 315 excursions offered on the C&TS in 2010.
