At this point in 1976, a typical San Joaquin consist had a baggage-coach (1600 or 1601), an ex-Santa Fe lunch counter-diner, and one coach, usually drawn from 6800-6802. However, when one of the baggage-coaches was down, it was not uncommon to see one of the 7500 series coaches used as a baggage car. On Fridays a second 6800 series coach was often added SB. Shortly after Drew's photo was taken, the F's where replaced by a single SDP40F (either 542 or 543) until Amfleet arrived, I think in July.
