Some of it has to do with transportation. Bonin bought into the "road diet" nonsense about five years back, IIRC... It didn't last long after the grid lock started on day one to remove it, and the threat of recall was avoided, then.

And, Kevin De Leon is going for a two/fer recall in Eagle Rock and Highland Park... Recall over both the placement of unsupervised "temporary contractor supplied mini-hovels in "abandonned" Caltrans park and ride lots, and for narrowing Colorado Blvd and eliminating the median for center street exclusive bus lane design that will also shrink Colorado to one traffic lane in Eagle Rock and create community wide gridlock and traffic intrusion...
