TriMet is completing its MAX Green Line tracklaying along the I-205 corridor today. The final stretch of rail to be laid is the tail track at the Clackamas Town Center terminus. Once the infrastructure is complete, TriMet will begin testing trains along this ROW, sometime in early May.

Deliveries of Type 4 (Siemens S70 Avanto) light rail cars is almost complete. The cars are currently stored at the Ruby Junction (Gresham) shops while undergoing acceptance testing. Some of the early deliveries have received their TriMet logos and MAX lettering, a good sign that their testing is almost complete and that they will soon enter revenue service. Over-the-road testing is also taking place at night.

Over on the west side of the Portland metro area, WES is off to a good start. The trains are running full or nearly so, and on time; some commuters have begun complaining that there isn't enough room or enough service.

Another ongoing complaint comes from Tigard and Tualatin, where local residents are unhappy with the air horn noise as WES trains sound off for the grade crossings in the two cities.
