DMU #1003 and trailer #2001 were the bad-ordered cars. Because of this, TriMet had to cover about one-third of its Friday WES trains with shuttle buses.

The schedule was thrown further off between 4:30 and 5:00 p.m. Friday when a motor vehicle collision in downtown Beaverton blocked the WES track in and out of Beaverton Transit Center. DMU #1002 was held at BTC until the line was clear, then met the next northbound trip, with DMU #1001, on the double track north of the Hall-Nimbus stop.
