Winterail Railfanning

Now that it is time to head to Stockton I am looking for some ideas for Friday.

Has the increased activity on the Altamont continued? Are there any trains on the Altamont that are regular, that is, what is the best time. I know we now have the mid day ACE trains, how is the freight activity in the afternoon?

The Calif Northern, former SP west side line, what are the railfanning chances on Friday and where are the best locations.

How to get to the locomotive at the Port of Stockton?

What are operating opportunities to view the SJVR?

Are the new locomotives on MET in use particularly the afternoon operations?

A lot of questions I know just tring to maximize my day.

Thanks
Dave
