Well maybe Mayor Alejandra Sotelo-Solis should not have mentioned bringing a five-pound sack of potatoes on buses and trains, but just a couple blocks from my house, I always see people waiting for buses at four different bus stops with bags of groceries.

If you want to focus on the mayor's word choice, that's on you. However, it's a distraction from her larger point that many people do not have automobiles and rely on public transportation for their food shopping.
