You pretty well nailed it. Those profit sharing checks could be pretty big. Don't see BNSF or Mr. Buffett sharing like that. BNSF hated the Evaro Hill line because in the contract, MRL got a bonus if overhead trains made it on time to the other end and would frequently stack the deck against us to try and prevent it. The Evaro short cut allowed us to make up time and get the bonus. Another thing likely to go away is manned helpers. Train speed and performace will likely decline at BNSF throttle setting rules and such will likely be fully enforced.
Moving dispatchers will hurt as well. Livingston shop rocks. When BN and BNSF leased our units (back in the day) the crews liked our "old" units better as they were clean, everything worked and the cabs didn't rattle. Big loss..............
