The water stops will probably be the same, if the tender weight restriction issue is the same as last year? That restriction may have been due to a construction project, if I recall correctly? And, may not apply this year, if that is the case. Someone could probably comment on that and let us know?

They were unable to carry a full water load due to some restrictions on tender weight. They refilled at the photo run by courtesy of San Diego Co. or Carlsbad (?) Fire, and at the Coaster/Metrolink facility with ample di hydrogen monoxide courtesy of (I believe?)the Camp Pendleton fire department. Semper Fi!

Then, of course we had the extra I-5 sunset photo stop in Camp Pendleton, because someone forgot what the big notch meant on older brake valves????

I suspect that the Pony Express may be the open baggage car, since Stan should have it in town then?

Hopefully this will be as much fun as last years great trip. Even more so, if I can afford a ticket on Stan's car, and he has the full bar going?
