I was pointing out that your carping about the FBI "raid" on Mar-a-Lardo being the result of the Dems "weaponizing" the FBI is out to lunch because Hoover had been doing it for decades, starting before WWII (in case you were asleep, WWII was 1941-1945). It was the Cointelpro scandal which began the de-weaponizing.

The so-called "raid" was the result of a standard search warrant which carefully followed the proper legal steps: application for the warrant approved by the Director of the FBI, a Trump appointee; the granting of the warrant was done by a a Trump appointed federal judge; and one of Trump's lawyers was present during the search at Mar-a-Lardo.

The GOPlofascists are ranting that this could happen to all of us, and it can. However, it's highly unlikely unless the a DA or the DOJ has valid reasons for doing to (which is the reason for the Judicial approval). Besides, how many of us have absconded with classified materials from the White House? And to think that Trump himself ratified a piece of legislation that increased the penalty for doing so from one year in jail to five.
