After the SP succeeded in taking off the Lark and Golden State early in 1968, they shut down the Mission Coach Yard and contracted with Santa Fe to provide car cleaning and maintenance. This was clearly shot in the morning hours, and from the sun's position I would guess sometime in the fall or early winter. I see an automat car in the consist, so my guess is that it's either outbound No. 98 being readied for departure, or inbound No. 1 being wyed to go down to Santa Fe's 8thStreet coach yard.
