I don’t know why Amtrak is messing with this political rubbish. Their ridership base includes a lot of older retired couples. Hope Amtrak folds and shuts down.

Around ten years ago, a professional colleague (who is now also one of my neighbors) was driving home on an highway with her husband and their two children when the husband spotted a car along the side of the highway. He stopped the car to offer aid. Another vehicle slammed into the car, killing her husband in the process. She had to watch in horror.
Since that tragedy she has travels with her children to various places (don't know if she found a new partner). The idea that Amtrak should refrain from marketing to unpartnered women with children is both heartless and ludicrous.
As someone who has traveled with my mother, but without my father (who had other travel plans - we'd meet somewhere along the way) who has encountered over the years many, many women traveling with children, but no dude and who has over the years dated a number of divorced women with children, I see nothing wrong with such advertising. There are many reasons for women to travel with children without a father having nothing to do with feminism or any other kind of politics.
One my girlfriend's best friends is a divorced mother who has traveled on Amtrak with her daughter. I never thought anything was bad about it. On the contrary, they traveled on a safer and more environmentally benign mode of transportation. Would you prefer that she drove?
Your commentary suggests that you live in an incredibly sheltered world and are informed by a very narrow perspective. Get out in the world and meet and talk to real people.
