There are pictures from the rear end of the Tioga Pass going through San Clemente when there was still beach and lifeguard towers, only 12 years ago.

After we've funded the Del Mar bluffs bypass, we can begin to plan for the San Clemente bypass, from San Onofre to the Toll Road.

A San Clemente bypass (originally proposed and planned by American High Speed Rail back in 1980) could save another 20 minutes of running time, from a shorter faster route, as well.
