I think you are wrong about having 4449 or any of the other large locos run on Dicks OPR. There was no option in previous years, so the larger engines were used. The trackage in question is not maintained to operate full sized steam locos. The reason for running smaller engines is to save wear and tear on the on line, I know that Dick was concerned about that when he was operating the railroad before his passing. My guess is in the future the Willamette or the Pacific type engines ORHF ownes will be used once and if they are restored.
