Frazier Slide Reconstruction Article

For those interested in Civil engineering, I found an article in "Professional Surveyor" magazine regarding the Frazier landslide in southern Oregon in late January 2008. It details some of what the surveyors had to deal with in their 5 weeks on the job. They heavily employed GPS and GNSS on this job. To a lesser degree, it speaks about the railroads efforts to help itself by bringing in rock ballast and hauling out the mud. The article includes 6 photos including the cover photo and runs from page 10 to page 12. The above link is for the March 2009 electronic edition.
