For Valley Rail the curves on the Sacramento sub are being designed for 90 mph to avoid rework. Otherwise everything else for now is 79 mph wuth track shared with UPRR. Initial plan is still a lot of single track on the Sac Sub with long 15,000 sidings with #20 turnouts. Fresno Sub will be almost entirely double track with some sections triple for sidings for switching movements and storage. The new bridges over the Stanislaus River and Tuolumne River are still unfunded except for design.

Some discussions have been had about increasing speeds, but it's only going to be 79 mph to start.
