Depot doings, Sandpoint saved, Cheney???

As noted in Vol 2 no 92 of the newsline, the Sandpoint, Id depot appears to be on the road to preservation, however, talking to BNSF folks today, the BNSF ex-NP depot in Cheney, Wa appears to be on the way out. Section and signal crews have been stationed in the Cheney depot, but they have been moved to a temporary trailer across the tracks pending construction of a new building railroad west of the Cheney-Spangle road crossing. Depot is mostly empty now and it's unknown when demolition of the rare (for NP) spanish style depot will take place.
