Meanwhile, back on earth, now that the possible culprit has confessed on AP....
As of this morning ML has announced six extra trains on the SB line to assist in providing alternatives. This looks like a long shut down "like the 94 earthquake"... And, of course, there is no information of any kind on their ML website or ML Alerts pages... Oh well?
No rail switching in nearby areas seems to be affected by the fire at this location.
The person at Caltrans ROW branch, who decided that leasing this space under the I-10, for something as inherently dangerous as pallet storage was a good idea, is probably working on their early retirment planning today...
As I have noted several times recently, there is no evidence for any shortage of stupid in our world these days.....
