Dispatcher 57 is now located in Omaha, having moved in March of this year. The plan is to eventually eliminate this position and have dispatcher 273 do all the work. There are supposed to be 78 jobs in Dispatching and Network Operations on the entire UP System to be cut shortly. The 78 people will be gotten rid of based on poor performance. I think the Altamont Press Timetable is just getting ahead of the game. Hope this clarifys that. Also, I have seen "DS' used here. These initials "D.S." were only used on the old ATSF, never on SP or UP. There is no abreviation for Dispatcher on UP.
