Hi All.
IM looking for information on a steam powered tourist railway that ran out of McNary AZ in the late 60s early 70s known as the White Mountain Scenic. I think a guy by the name of Reid Hatch owned this operation. I know they had a Mikado #100 from the Santa Maria Valley plus two Sierra Mikes, numbers 34 and 36. The 34, although owned by WMS never left Jamestown. The 36 did but not sure if it ever ran there. The 36 latter ended up at Heber City, not sure where it is now. Also, I think WMS had 5 Hairman coaches. My question is: was the operation on part of the Apache Railroad or was it an abandoned logging line? Where did the line run to and how many miles, who owned the tracks? Where is the Sierra 36 at today? Any information on this operation would be much appreciated. Thank-you in advance.
