For those of you who were too young, or don't remember the fatal "anti-gubmint" terrorist attack on the Amtrak Sunset Limited at Palo Verde in 1995,here is what folks are referring to.

One of the theories was that a member of the Arizona militia who was later associated with hosting Nichols and McVey, when they were in AZ, who was later killed in the (IIRC???) 2000's,in a shoot out with AZ poli, was considered to be a potential suspect.

In this case, quite unforntunately, at least for the continuation of Amtrak direct times a week service to PHX, the terrorist's, did, in fact, "win"...
