Bugs was an interesting guy. He and I shared a small part of the ownership of the PV Tamalpais, and occasionally I would act as his helper/gofer. Bugs was one of these guys who could do almost anything mechanical. He fixed more things on our old antique than Carter had pills. I recall in particular one time he and I workiong alone jacked the car up so that we could replace the swing hangers on the trucks. He was fun to be around. But perhaps what really stood out was his ability to get along with almost anybody. I was a button down collar MBA working in a finance job who knew nothing about mechanical stuff, but he put up with me. He was both patient and a good teacher. I learned a lot. He'w been gone for a long time now, and the Tam is past history for me, but I miss those good times.JBWX
