At one time he intended to have it operational, but over time, regulations have tightened (mainly everyone wanting Amtrak approved equipment) and rim stamped wheel ban and etc, so I'm not certain what his plans are now. It still would be possible to operate on a shortline or museum line, but getting it there most likely would require compliance with above mentioned regulations to be movable on class 1s. All the mentioned equipment is very much worth a look.
