they do not expect the benewah trestle to be back in operation until after the first of the year. there have been hold ups on back orders being shipped to the site. i talked to them last week and the contractor now has a crane at the west end to help in the rebuild and the st maries has leased a locomotive that is kept in plummer to run material to the west end of the trestle since the rest of their motive power is land locked on the st maries side of the trestle. the contractor initially had boasted that he and his crew would have it rebuilt and home in montana for thanksgiving!! that did not happen. from the people i have talked to, february sounds more like a realistic target date.
