Let's not forget, 100 years ago cities and towns had walkable neighborhoods. They had privately owned streetcars too. It all came about organically.

People object to "15 minute" cities because they don't like being told how to live. It makes their "freedom" nerve twitch. They want the freedom to dump used motor oil and tires into the environment too.

I don't have a solution. Waiting for the meteor to strike.
