I take it back. It was the 755 I saw. And it had just been shopped. There were a lot of dead locomotives to check out. I am pretty sure the 777 and 779 were there minus connecting rods and looking like they had already been taken out of service before the end of steam, which was in early July of '58. I couldn't figure why the older engines had gotten more attention.
