I guess it's just trainee pay. Hopefully full time pay is higher.

I see stories where the train crew has to deal with a passenger who is violent, unstable, or committing a crime. They have to handle the situation until professional law enforcement arrives. That's not easy. I wouldn't want the job myself. :(
