I was up at Wingo yesterday and checked out the progress in the rebuilding the line from there to the south end of Schellville yard. This is a mile long section of track that is being completely rebuilt from the ground up. The rails are all down and are fully spiked. Some ballast has been applied but more needs to be added. The track needs to be aligned, leveled and tamped but the contractor has all the equipment there ready to jump on it. They have also been making good progress replacing ties south of Wingo. More leveling and tamping needs to be done, but I assume it will be done soon. It's great to be seeing these solid signs of progress.
