I took a brief look at the ROW east of the bridge at Black Point today. Lots of marking paint spots on ties, spikes and rails. Lots of new ties have been dropped along the ROW. This is a wild guess, and I could be way off, but judging by the number of new ties, it looks like maybe every 3rd or 4th tie will be replaced. Way more than the last time we went thru this a few years ago. There are no ties west of Black Point.
