You hit a point there. Many transit lines were able to make improvements both to the property and to service (and security in many cases) with the extra funding from the Covid-recovery packages. That money is running out, and the cuts are here as funding drops just as ridership starts recovering. LA should be able to tap some extra funding from the Olympics crowd if they want to make it a "car-free Olympics" or else they'll have to find a way to shut down all the normal traffic to make room for the Olympics.
