Actually, Mitt is one of the more respectable dinosaurs left in the Republican Party. Could do worse if we had to choose one. Note that Stadler in the US, which seems to be the main competitor for Siemens in rail transit stuff lately in the US, is HQ'd and builds in Utah; wonder if Mitt had a hand (oh horrible, Mitts ... hands ... was not originally intended as a pun) in their choice of that site?

Realistically, though, we may have seen the SOFI debacle avoided, but the money for that won't be back for anything else, unfortunately. Won't be shifted to LAUS. We'll have to figure out how to fund that ourselves.
