Yep, FUD got it: All did not end all that well for LA, did it?

MTA, in the last decade, has descended into little more than a dysfunctional political contracting racket.

And, as we have just witnessed, and as you rightly note, "all is not well" at all, as this round of overreach and utter incompetence has lost of these scarce taxpayer funds. Which could have at least been used to more efficiently fleece the taxpayers with gold plated contracts for some of the things that might actually have some tangible transportation benefits for the taxpayers who are getting fleeced.

So, in reality, the current MTA leadership does not even appear to be very good at running a very good political contracting racket.

MTA is no longer a competent transit operator, based on the massive failures from crime prevention to the massive service cuts, cutting today's ridership to less than half of what it was for the "all bus" SCRTD during the 1984 Olympics.

I've got to "hand" it to you about those zingers over "Mitt".

But I'd rather have a "Mitt", to lend us a "hand", as an adult in charge, than the headless herds of leaderless bleating sheep that appear to be running the current planning and organizing for the 2028 Olympics, as appears to be the case this week.
