Did you look at the time and read his other post?
And then there's the fact that he's unable to spell Alstom, right?
Or, that he doesn't know the fact that Alstom does not operate Amtrak (Alstom did take over the Metrolink operations and maintenance contract on January 1, and all trains appear to be operating normally on ML)?

The TOMN's typical 4 am posts are not always the best sources of factual information; he's more into creating and posting his "memes"..
That said, Amtrak now seems to panic at the very thought of any even potentially challenging conditions, even cancelling services on heavily used portions of long lines like this, in this case several even days in advance, due to some potential weather disruptions affecting the route, almost all mostly east of KC. And where it is not going to stop much freight traffic, even with the potential of some delays.
