By 1985, the remaining operational PCC's in SEPTA's fleet had been overhauled and repainted for service on the remaining all surface lines, 6, 15, 23, 53, and 56. Inbound on Ogontz Ave. at 80th Ave. #2716 in April of 1985, has just left its outer terminal. At one time, it extended to Willow Grove but was truncated in the 50's. By the following January, the #6 line was converted to Diesel bus by SEPTA, as usual over the objection of the the City of Philadelphia. #2716 was retained by SEPTA until 2004 when it was sold to the Brookville Equipment Company.
