Good luck with what you're trying to do, but some things aren't quite so obvious. Like the fact that Maryland Midland (MMID) SD40M-2s 3448, 3449, 3450, and 3451 all have holes drilled in their engine blocks rendering them inoperable but they have not been scrapped. RLIX SW1001 got the same treatment. This is all the EPA cares, the unit does not have to scrapped to comply.

Yorkrail (YRC) GP16 1600 has been scrapped outright, though.
