Trains Magazine ran a lengthy article on the EBT in 1953 which gave the impression that it had a healthy future. It was a big disappointment that it suddenly quit in late 1956.

I got to see it in 1959 and 1960, both before and after the Kovalchick family started tourist operations.

Johnstown Traction Co. was still operating in 1959 - fabulous little system. The Pennsylvania still had quite a bit of dead steam - "j" 2-10-4's mostly - next to Juniata shops in Altoona at the time.
