Whether the company is USA owned does matter one whit. It's all outsourced to the foreign junk dealers anyway.

A few years back, while trying to buy American, I bought a Chrysler mini-van (needed the room for my kids). After about the tenth time it broke down on the road, It was towed to the dealer in Elko Nevada, of all places. When I questioned the odd design, the service manager explained to me where each part was designed and made. At least it was assembled in Canada, but not one part was made anywhere near this continent.

I gave up tryiung to buy American - You can't find any real facts on where anything was really made, anyhow. American cars haven't been American, for years!
